Buying notes and leaving a platform

We separate provider documentation from hands-on testing. Each buying note has a source, review date and scope. A documented download format does not prove that a full project, trained model or workspace can migrate. Conflicting documents and missing evidence are called out. Notes older than 30 days need review; they do not change independently verified price rankings. No migration test has been completed for this release.

The workload is one month

Choose image outputs and five-second video clips. Each option uses one exact model offering per requested task, across one or two providers. Models, resolutions, and native audio remain explicit. We do not convert GPU time to invented output counts or assume that different models produce equivalent quality.

The cash formula

Required credits are output count × published credits per output. Image and video allocations using the same plan share one pool. Known top-up packs round up to cover the shortfall; unknown top-up prices exclude an option.

For example, a 50-credit shortfall with 20-credit packs costing $3 requires three packs: $9 cash and 10 credits left.

Annual means annual

The full annual subscription must fit the cash budget now. Only one month’s published allocation is available to the workload. The monthly equivalent divides that annual subscription by 12; it excludes top-ups and existing subscriptions. Taxes, checkout fees, future renewals, and failed-generation costs are unverified and excluded.

Already subscribed?

Only the remaining balance you enter is available. A sufficient existing plan can mean $0 new cash. Its regular monthly cost is shown separately, including entered plans the result does not use. We do not assume a full balance, a second subscription to the same provider, or an upgrade price.

Evidence has an expiry date

These rules apply to the selected plan, offering, and supporting sources. A verification date means we checked official evidence, not that we completed checkout. A publication date is separate. Changing a date without reviewing its evidence is not a refresh.

Qualification before sorting

Currency, billing, budget, exact model, resolution, native audio, commercial use, private generation, and fresh enough evidence must all qualify. Unknown rights or specifications fail a required filter. Estimated rates never enter exact rankings.

Qualified options sort by new cash, then new subscription monthly equivalent, then stable ID. The shortlist reserves the least-cash option per provider combination before filling up to six positions, so model variants do not hide provider alternatives. This is a cost ordering, not a quality ranking.

What the first release leaves out

Krea, Higgsfield, Magnific / Freepik AI, and Midjourney have partial profiles and no qualified output rates. Kling prices come from a dated official guide; live checkout remains unverified. Leonardo private generation requires Private Mode to be on. Runway private asset visibility is not a no-training promise. See each profile for source-specific caveats.

Independence & privacy

Affiliate availability is disclosed separately and has no role in qualification or ordering. Provider buttons are ordinary official links. There are no paid query calls or online model requests. The comparison runs in your browser; optional analytics require your consent. They use pseudonymous browser/session IDs and limited usage context, including scenario category, catalog version, budget band, provider IDs and optional helpfulness response.
